AVENEU nabs its 3rd recognition from Anak TV Seal Awards
The New Era University - College of Communication TV program AVENEU airs at INCTV nabbed the 2024 Anak TV Seal Awards for Television Category.
This year awarding ceremony of Anak TV Seal held at EVM Convention Center along Central Avenue in Quezon City with its theme “Friendship in Diversity” were participated by eleven (11) TV networks including Net 25 and INC TV in which both networks garnered tremendous awards for producing programs for children.
On her opening remarks, Anak TV Seal Chairperson Elvira Yap Go encouraged more TV networks to produce outstanding television programs that is suitable for children .
The 3rd Anak TV Seal awards nabbed by COC produced program AVENEU was received by its Director Leo Paulo Magcalas, a professor of the College of Communication together with the hosts and its production staff.
Former Vice President Noli de Castro, a media personality and a renown journalist of ABS-CBN who were present in the event personally received Anak TV Makabata Hall of Fame awards with a remarkable introduction from Korina Sanchez of NET 25.

Happy Basketball Turnover Ceremony Hunters!
One day after the NEU Hunters won the PSL 21U championship, two milestone events took place in the NEU Main Campus. The first event is the formal opening of the newly-renovated NEU Gym and IS Covered Court. The NEU Gym now has a digital scoreboard and shotclocks installed, as well as an FIBA-standard basketball flooring. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was presided over by NEU Board of Trustees Member Bro. Edmario M. Reyes and University President Bro. Alberto R. Domingo Jr.

NEW ERA UNIVERSITY SIGNS HISTORIC ACCORD WITH RUSSIAN NEWS AGENCY
Manila, Philippines – The New Era University (NEU) continues the triumphant journey towards its Golden Jubilee as it enters a historic accord with SPUTNIK News Agency (SNA). NEU and SPUTNIK, a Russian media company, entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in a virtual ceremony last Friday, January 12, 2024, with the signing parties present at the NEU Boardroom in Quezon City, Philippines and SPUTNIK Media Room in Moscow, Russia. Dr. Alberto R. Domingo, Jr., the University President, represented NEU while the SPUTNIK News Agency was represented by Mr Vasily Pushkov, Director for International Cooperation, with Ms. Sophia Zagorskaya as moderator. Dr. Domingo is elated with the MOU between NEU and SPUTNIK and he hopes that the agency will lend a helping hand to the University in pursuing worthwhile journalistic endeavors so as to reinforce current journalistic practices and be kept abreast with the innovation in broadcasting and journalism in the digital age. “The University’s signing of MOU with SPUTNIK is a monumental move towards internationalization of NEU’s academic endeavors especially along the NEU-College of Communication’s aspiration to attain Level IV for the Bachelor of Arts in Communication together with its newly recognized programs in Broadcasting and Journalism,” Dr. Domingo said.

ALL HANDS ON DECK TOWARDS AUTONOMOUS STATUS: NEU PREPARES FOR LEVEL IV ACCREDITATION
The New Era University (NEU) is now “on the go” with the intensive preparation of the upcoming Level IV Accreditation for its four (4) academic programs come May 2024.
The academic and administrative heads of NEU, along with the deans and faculty of the College of Business Administration, College of Communication, and College of Education (Elementary and Secondary) gathered yesterday at School of Management Building Multipurpose Hall (SOM MPH) for the presentation of status report for Level IV Accreditation visit.

Chinese Universities Visit New Era University
Eighty-Six (86) officials from 40 different Universities in People’s Republic of China visited the New Era University, Main Campus in Quezon City last March 18, 2024.
Among those who went were Vice Presidents, Deans, and other academic and administrative officials from leading universities in China as part of their itinerary in the Philippines after conducting their HSK Study in China Education and Career Expo in Shangrila Hotel, Makati City.
The Chinese visitors are from well-known schools in China such as Tsinghua University, Peking University, Fudan Univeristy, among others.
The delegates were welcome by the officials of the New Era University led by Dr. Alberto R. Domingo Jr., NEU President.
He expressed the University’s ardent desire to learn and get to know each other in pursuit of academic learning, collaborate with the Chinese Universities in research, outreach, including student and faculty exchanges, “We are truly humbled for this opportunity to meet China’s University officials and trail blaze our continuing friendship and academic exchanges in the future,” Dr. Domingo said.

EXPLORING THE FINAL FRONTIER: SPACEX VISITS NEU
Monday, April 22, 2024 is a new chapter in the history of New Era University, as the representatives from Space Exploration Technologies (SpaceX) paid a visit to the Main Campus. The University Executive Council, led by President Bro. Alberto R. Domingo, Jr., welcomed Mr. Paul del Vecchio of SpaceX, as well as Atty. Paolo Villonco of Ignition Venture Studio and Mr. David Tanael of Data Lake Inc. at the NEU Library. The guests were regaled with a simple program featuring the University Choir and NEU Rondalla Group.
